The name Wavz North reflects his personal and musical journey. “Wavz” symbolizes the ups and downs of life, while “North” represents his roots in York, Pennsylvania, and Northeast Ohio.

Growing up in a musical household shaped his love of music. “My parents always played music around the house, and I was inspired by the emotion and stories behind the songs. I started singing along, and eventually, it became something I couldn’t live without,” he shared.

Beyond performing, North is deeply involved in songwriting. He writes his music and collaborates closely with Aaron Lafollette, ensuring authenticity in every track.

While it’s not as big as places like New York or LA, the passion and authenticity are unmatched. It’s a hidden gem with a lot of potential.”

Music has always been a powerful force in North’s life, providing purpose and an emotional outlet. He exclaimed, “My motivation comes from my desire to impact people positively. I want my music to resonate with listeners and help them through whatever they’re going through. Knowing that my words could make someone feel understood keeps me going.”

Being a musician comes with a unique responsibility. North said, “It’s humbling and fulfilling. Knowing that my music can inspire or comfort someone is the greatest reward. It pushes me to continue making meaningful art.”

Don’t chase trends—create music that resonates with you because authenticity always shines through. Also, be prepared to work hard and stay persistent. The journey isn’t easy, but it’s worth it.”
